A quick overview of the project
We redesigned Candidate First’s brand identity to be modern, clean, and meaningful, reflecting their mission of equitable recruitment. Alongside, we developed a custom WordPress website optimized for easy job search and application, helping candidates find the right job faster and simplifying recruiters’ hiring processes.

The Challenge
Candidate First, a recruitment agency focused on fair hiring powered by AI and data, needed to refresh its visual identity and create an intuitive website. Their old branding lacked impact, and they didn’t have a website to centralize job offers, which limited their ability to reach and engage both candidates and recruiters.
Insights
To understand the needs of Candidate First and their users, we analyzed:
- The importance of a clear, professional, and trustworthy brand to inspire confidence in both candidates and recruiters.
- The need for a streamlined, user-friendly job search experience with relevant filters (industry, location, salary).
- The necessity for simple application and submission processes for both candidates and companies.
- The demand for communication tools that help the internal team keep a consistent brand presence on social media, especially LinkedIn.
Ideation
Our key ideas included:
- A refreshed logo and color palette that reflect equity, trust, and modernity.
- A website structure that clearly separates company presentation, job search, and helpful resources for candidates.
- An easy-to-use job filter system to help candidates find suitable offers quickly.
- Templates for LinkedIn posts to keep communication uniform and professional.
Solution
- Brand identity:
We created a new logo with a clean and elegant typography. The color palette features pink (linking to their Women First brand promoting women in leadership) and purple, symbolizing gender equity and their core sectors like IT and engineering. - Custom website:
Built with WordPress and Oxygen builder for flexibility and easy content management. Features include:- Intuitive job search filters by industry, location, and salary expectations
- Online application forms for candidates
- A form for companies to post jobs or request recruitment services
- Clear navigation with sections for company values and candidate advice
- Communication tools:
We designed simple, editable templates for LinkedIn posts (job offers, quotes, statistics), optimized for tools like Canva and Word, enabling the internal team to maintain a consistent and active social media presence easily.
Results, Impact & Learnings
The new website quickly became a central platform for Candidate First’s image and recruitment efficiency. Since launch:
- 519 candidates successfully found jobs through Candidate First’s platform.
- Their LinkedIn community grew to over 17,000 followers, with frequent and consistent use of the communication templates.
- The client expressed strong satisfaction with both the brand refresh and the website’s performance.
This project highlighted the importance of combining a strong visual identity with user-centered digital tools to boost engagement and achieve business goals.
